I broke my collar bone 6 weeks ago. I had three x-rays with follow up consultations with Mr Gupta over the following 6 weeks. I was dealt with in a very considerate manner and provided with all the information to understand the injury and the necessary treatment to aid recovery. No operation was required I have just been discharged. I had seen Mr Gupta on two previous occasions to repair broken wrists and I was dealt with in the same kindly and professional manner.

I was suffering pain in my shoulder for over a year and was referred by my GP to MSK Orthopedics at St Peters Hospital. After having ultrasound, CT scan, MRI scan and x-ray I was referred to Mr Gupta for a consultation. He explained to me that I was suffering from arthritis in my right shoulder and that the only option I had if I wanted to become pain free was to undergo shoulder surgery. He explained to me the benefits I would recieve from having the surgery as well as the risks involved. After consideration I decided to go ahead with the surgery. On admission to Ashford Hospital, Mr Gupta came to see me in the ward and once again explained fully what the operation involved. He explained that it wouldn't be until he had started the operation that he would know if I would need a stem inserted as part of the proceedure. In the end I had an anatomic, stemless, total shoulder replacement. Mr Gupta came to see me after I had come around from the general anaesthetic in the recovery room to explain that the surgery had been successful. He also came to see me in ECU the following morning to see how I was feeling. I have since seen Mr Gupta twice in outpatients for follow-up appointments with x-ray and he is very happy with my recovery. I feel that I have had excellent care and explanation from him from my first meeting with him right up to where I am in my recovery

He listens and he remembers what has been said. He is down to earth and sympathetic to your problems. His surgery was very successful as I have a sling instead of a block after key hole operation far rotator cuff injury, also very little pain. His follow up appointments are prompt and well organised. I was very happy with my treatment.

Relatable - understood my objectives, made options clear, firm to say slow down but overall understood that I wanted to climb again and not settle for a restricted lifestyle

Very happy with the care I have received. Everything was explained to me in details, all my questions answered and the operation went as planned. Follow up was as good. Overall an excellent experience. I can highly recommend Mr Gupta.
